We Have a Page!

So excited to share something new! The Brayton Project is now on Facebook – a place to unite and share, ask questions and gather resources. Really, a forum of sorts (that is free!) and open to anyone. The hope is that not only do you spread the word about the Project & EA/TEF, but by “liking” our page on Facebook, you’re also showing families new & old to this disease another place to come together.

There is an icon on the right side of the page that will lead you there as well.

Thanks for your support and all the love yesterday during our launch!

Families of EA/TEF: Meet Lydia

*Update: we are deeply saddened to share the news that sweet Lydia has earned her angel wings, yesterday March 1, 2012. To read more, click here: Goodnight My Angel, written by her mama.

From her sweet mama Amanda: Triplet C (aka: Lydia Grace) was born at 32 weeks in November of 2009. She was diagnosed with Type C EA/TEF, tricuspid atresia and cleft palate. 23 surgeries later, Lydia remains in the hospital trached and on a ventilator with a spit fisutula and G/J tube. We’re hoping to be able to get her home for her 2nd birthday and to get her strong enough to be off the vent and undergo future heart surgery. She loves music, snuggling and is as sweet as a baby can possibly be.

Welcome!

Welcome to a project I’ve been dreaming of and working on for some time. I knew whether Brayton lived or not, I would want to bring a voice to EA/TEF and have been brainstorming ways to do just that. The Brayton Project is so near to my heart, I miss my boy every day, but am happy to know his legacy will live on through the stories of other families, through the awareness I hope this site will bring, and through the love and support of all of my amazing family and friends.

Thank you to each of you who has been a part of our lives and here’s to the new friends we’ll make along the way!

Take some time to browse around and make yourself at home – we are working hard behind the scenes on some new features and resources, so be sure to check back often for updates.
